Oro Valley will face many issues over the course of this campaign. Danny's priority is to help the community become better informed about these important issues, so residents can make educated decisions regarding their future.
Values are an essential foundation for any candidacy. Danny's values have been proven by his twenty year record in one of Oro Valley's most trusted leadership roles, that of Police Chief.
Danny has over 40 years of combined law enforcement experience. He spent the last 20 years of that as the Police Chief in Oro Valley. He also stepped in as the Town's acting manager for almost a year and a half before the Town hired a permanent replacement. He has dedicated a majority of his life to public service and prides himself on his lengthy track record of community involvement.
Trust is paramount in leadership; without it businesses and residents are anxiously concerned about their futures. Danny's goal as Mayor is to build upon the trust he earned in his twenty year career as Chief, by working in an open, friendly and community-oriented manner. He wants the community to feel they have leadership they can count on.
Danny's passion for transparency is what he's best known for. He has always made it a priority to involve the community in important issues regarding public safety, leading our Police Department to be recognized as a national model for Community Policing. As Mayor, he promises to bring the same level of transparency by involving residents in all important town issues.
Why It Matters
The incredible quality of life that Oro Valley affords its residents didn't just happen by accident. It was due to the hard work and strong leadership of the people who tirelessly dedicated themselves to this community. They created a vision for the future and were determined to see that vision come to fruition.
Danny's goal as Mayor is to lead with that type of spirit. Hard work and strong leadership are not just values to Danny, they are his compass. By supporting Danny Sharp for Mayor, we take an important step toward ensuring the safe and secure future Oro Valley deserves.
